One, Two Three
While I am certainly not complaining, it was bloody hot here yesterday! The kids and I spent time playing at the park, walking through the lawn & garden center at Lowes, and then planting our finds in pots! Needless to say, by the time we were done, we were burning up. Thankfully Grammie and Grandad didn't mind us coming over to jump in their pool. Cole is completely fearless.....walking right off the side into the pool, jumping off the steps, loving going under the water. He is constantly moving in the water as well ~ a total wild child. Trying to establish some sense of "routine" at the pool (or it's going to be a L O N G summer) I told Cole that before he jumps in, he must count to 3 so the person in the pool knows he's coming. This worked the first few times, although he won't say 2 and 3 but rather repeats 1 three times then claps and says YAY!!! Toward the end of our swimming time, his almost 2 year old brain forgot the whole counting thing and he jumped his little body right into the pool. Thankfully, Tarek and I were both right there but when he jumped in, he was holding a baby float and became a bit tangled in it. As we were both frantically trying to get the float off of him, he was crying and counting, "one, one, one".....better late than never I guess.
